Vishpala leads Human Resources for Philips in Indian SubContinent (includes Area countries of Srilanka, Nepal, Bhutan & Bangladesh). She is responsible for HR across Market Commercial Operations, Philips Innovation Campus(R&D), Healthcare Innovation Centre, Global Business Services and Factories. As part of the India Management Team, she spearheads people and talent agenda to support business growth and enable Philips in its transformation journey as Health Technology leader. Prior to Philips, Vishpala was leading Human Resources as the Regional HR Director for Uber across the Asia Pacific mega region (includes N.Asia, Japan, Philippines, Australia-New Zealand and India S.Asia). As a senior diverse leader her focus was to build a workplace to support the transformative growth of Uber. This included building a super Engineering site in India, driving innovative practices to engage a digital workforce and enabling the HR function as the company went public in 2019. Prior to Uber, Vishpala was leading Human Resources for American Express in India across P&L, Servicing and Capability LOB’s comprising a diverse workforce of 12000+ employees, the second largest market by headcount for Amex globally. As a member of the American Express India Leadership Team (ILT), she ensured that Human Capital was a key driver in enabling business success. She was with Amex for 12 years and has partnered with business leaders to drive the India Business transformation which was featured as a best practice by the Asia HR Executive Board. She along with her team enabled American Express to be a great place to work (Featured as India’s 2nd Best companies to work in 2016&2017 by GPTW & Economic Times). Her experience includes driving change, managing a digital workforce, leadership enablement, employee brand communication, organization effectiveness and leading innovative programs on preventive healthcare, first of its kind D&I initiative in collaboration with four large multinationals (Reach Out). Vishpala served as a Board member of the national executive board of NHRDN (National HR Development Network) 2015-2019 and led their Young Minds Advisory Board aimed at enhancing capabilities of young HR professionals in the country. She is an avid proponent to the cause of developing women and has been honored with "Most Inspiring Women in HR 2023"by Business World, "HR Influencer" by EconomicTimes HRWorld in 2021 and has been recognized as "LinkedIn PowerProfile in HR 2018".
