About

My purpose and imperative is to bring people together and empower them to overcome societal barriers by engaging them in shared values. I have been fascinated with the design and dynamics of partnerships and the concept of creating collaborative advantage. I have 10 years of experience related to different types of partnerships. In my corporate role, I conducted organizational change management including development and facilitation of partnership training for business-to-business partnerships. As a consultant, I provided expertise to small and medium sized manufacturing companies in Indiana by providing instructional learning workshops and assessments on principles of organizational and leadership development. I also developed capacity-building measures for community development programs that foster community-based cross-sector partnerships by developing tools, for which I provided training to Extension educators. As an applied scholar, I have studied various elements of non-hierarchical organizations that have shared leadership models such as public-private partnerships, multi-stakeholder initiatives, researcher (academic)-practitioner (NGO) partnerships and consortiums. I have designed and taught lectures on organizational behavior and collaboration including partnership dynamics. Lastly, I have developed assessments and tools based on research evidence to be used for partnership capacity strengthening. I have a PhD in Organization & Leadership Development. My research interests include cross-sector partnerships, Embedded Research Translation, leadership effectiveness, organization behavior, virtual global team leadership, and organizational change management. I am also passionate about furthering women education and women in technology. Top 5 Strengths from Strength Finders: 1. Strategic 2. Communication 3. Futuristic 4. Winning Others Over 5.
