  • The RDS program has secured many awards, including an International Public Sector Achievement Award instituted by the Public Sector Technology Magazine and two National innovation awards for implementation of a Citizen Centric e-Governance initiative.

  • In April 2005, the State Government implemented the land mark Bangalore One project that provides a 24/7 facility to a citizen to avail services of various utility companies and agencies of the state government. In December 2006, the State government decided to replicate the Bangalore One project to five other cities of Karnataka.

  • Devised a low cost (< US $ 1900) digital theatre kit comprising of a HP DLP projector, a DVD player and speakers that is enabling new income opportunities to entrepreneurs in Kuppam and providing a new market to HP.
  • Started an ITES Centre in Kuppam in partnership with Datamation Consultants Delhi, India that is providing local youth with ICT based jobs and is a model for HP and other organizations to start ITES businesses in rural areas.

  • The village women photographer was started in April 2003 with 4 women and in June 2004 12 new photographers were added. September 04 onwards worked towards making the business of the 12 new photographers sustainable.
