I’ve always been drawn to roles where I can support others, but recent experiences made that calling even stronger. After losing one of my closest friends unexpectedly — just weeks before the anniversary of my brother’s passing — I felt compelled to return to financial services with a renewed sense of purpose. I decided to get relicensed in life insurance not to “sell,” but to make sure the people I care about have access to protection when they need it most. I understand that conversations about life insurance can feel uncomfortable or even transactional. My goal is the opposite.   • This past summer, I fulfilled a dream of mine: taking a sabbatical to go to sleep-away camp! My three boys and I spent the summer at Camp Lohikan, where I served as the Division Director for junior campers (ages 5-10) and their counselors.
  • With no cell service and limited internet, I had to get creative with my 20 years of corporate experience:
  • I used agile methodologies to evict some uninvited mice from my cabin.
  • My team-building expertise came in clutch on (many) rainy days with 200 kids stuck indoors.
  • And let’s just say my positive outlook was a survival skill whenever meals were served.
  • Along the way, I mastered the art of tie-dye, taught kids how to fish, fixed countless tetherballs, and learned that “compliment sandwiches” aren’t nearly as filling as they sound.
  • It was chaotic, messy, and absolutely amazing. A summer I’ll never forget!
