I've run finance across five industries in eight years — mining at Vedanta, consumer durable at Mitsubishi, PE-backed logistics at Rivigo, a credit business from scratch at Groww, and now a D2C haircare brand at Moxie. The pattern isn't career indecision. It's that finance looks completely different depending on who's in the room. A Vedanta boardroom discussing an $85M acquisition runs nothing like a quarterly FP&A review with PE investors at Rivigo, which runs nothing like running due diligence on a Series A round for a D2C brand, which runs nothing like walking a credit rating agency through why a brand-new NBFC deserves an 'A' credit rating. I write about what happens inside those rooms. Not the LinkedIn version — the actual version. The term sheet clauses that look harmless and aren't. The credit conversations that go sideways before they go well. The ₹50 Lakh cost saving that came from one contract negotiation nobody wanted to have. I also write about my own money.
