I worked as an R&D engineer in improving the performance of double suction centrifugal pump and a product development lead for the Liquid Ring Vacuum Pumps (LRVP).
Innovated small to mid-size, general purpose LRVP series called EVZ. Profits on this series are more than twice of that realized by the old series (SONIT) of similar capacity. This new series can be mass produced depending on customer needs. Shifted from castings to machined and welded steel, thus easing manufacturing and reducing total number of parts and total weight. Collaboration with vendor from Japan and overseas to prototype this new series at low cost, high quality and in short time. Expertise in structural analysis, 3D modeling and 2D drawing softwares such as Solidworks, Catia, Ansys, Autocad etc. helped in timely completion of design and technical validation tasks.
Designed high pressure centrifugal pumps along with exposure to its cross-functional departments viz. quality, machining, procurement, assembly and sales/marketing. An active member of number of strict timeline, international project of crude oil transport in India and RO desalination in Saudi Arabia. Proficient in understanding industrial and manufacturing standards API/ISO/JIS/ASME etc
