Here’s a bit about my professional footprint:) I served in the LIC of India from 1994-1999 in the busiest branches, moved on as a founder member of Birla Sunlife Insurance, AMP Sanmar Life & Reliance Nippon Life, was responsible to scale up one of the largest Underwriting & Central Operations processes that handled volumes of 2.3 million policies and implemented the first automated underwriting & issuance solution in 2007. The projects led by my teams have won awards at Asian Network of Quality & Quality Council of India. As the Head of Operations at Indiafirst Life I anchored projects like driving 97% policy issuance on tab in 2013, underwriting through iris recognition in 2014. I moved on to serve as Dy COO at Edelweiss Tokio and eventually traversed laterally to expand my world view beyond Underwriting & Operations. I transitioned to BD & Distribution in 2017, acquired the first Small Finance Bank for Edelweiss Tokio in 2018, set up Star Union Daichi’s first Banca Commercial Support unit that focussed on activating inactive bank branches, And, where I am back now, serving as a part of the Marketing & Digital team. During the pandemic, I completed my PG in Cyber Law & Cyber Forensics from NLSIU Bangalore, independently consulted for promising Insurtechs like Loophealth (Funded by YC & Sierra PE) & Livwell Asia that won 2nd place in the IFSCA Hackathon and qualified for the IRDAI Sandbox in Feb 2022. As a firm believer & advocate of the higher purpose of Insurance, I contributed in a small way as the Hon President of WICCI Insurance Council to the cause of women and Insurance, as an Ex Comm member of India Insurtech Association’s efforts in bringing the Insurance & Insurtech ecosystem together and as a volunteer for Sahamati Account Aggregator building the Insurance Use Cases and supporting adoption within the Insurers. I believe that clarity of Purpose, Vision, Hard-Work, Equality, Loyalty, & Integrity are attributes that build institutions and teams for perpetuity My Life mantra is to accept my own imperfections, to be an eternal learner, to stay humble, to work the hardest and to live life to the fullest.
