I have over 30 years corporate experience across multiple functions & sectors. Starting out as a programmer & systems manager in the Insurance & Stock Broking space. I then impulsively decided to cross over into insurance sales where I struggled against my nature to learn how to sell, without selling. I subsequently started a software company developing software for the insurance industry. Then losing everything in the late 90sโ€™ Asian Financial Crisis. I decided to become a Scuba-diving instructor instead. I took every course available & just a few weeks before going full fledged, I met a girl. She wasnโ€™t particularly keen on me being surrounded by ladies in bikinis so I had to make a choice. I chose the girl & today, we have a 17 year boy & a 15 year old girl. That pushed me accidentally into a new career direction. I became a recruiter in a small local agency on the recommendation of a friend. I knew nothing about recruitment but I wasn't worried. It was meant to be a stop gap measure until I found a real job. 3 months became 6. 6 months became 12. 12 months became 15 glorious years where I worked in all areas of agency recruiting, then into corporate recruiting. I headed in-house recruitment teams for global pedigreed companies like Autodesk, BlackBerry, Levi Strauss, eBay & Qlik. My remit covered Asia Pacific to Europe, Middle East & Africa. In 2014, I left my job as an International Recruitment Director & started my own Career Consulting outfit. I take all the insider lessons learnt, all the personal lessons applied, all the secrets, shortcuts, methodologies & habits used in the recruitment industry and train/ coach my clients into jobs with an unfair advantage. Everything I teach about LinkedIn Branding & Career Transitions is based on real life experience that I have personally tested out myself for decades. I have trained thousands with clients in the US, UK, Europe and across all Asia.
