Unicommerce is India’s leading ecommerce enablement B2B SaaS platform doing almost 1 Billion order items annually across 900+ enterprises and thousands of SMB sellers. As CTO of Unicommerce took care of product (PMs, UX, BI) and engineering (backend, frontend, app, integrations, QA, DevOps, SecOps, Data). Hired and developed a 90 member strong high-performance no-bs team. Drove the product on its pivot to the enterprise space. Expanded the product portfolio to D2C, B2B, newer industry verticals (fmcg, beauty, pharma etc..), newer client profiles (3PL, marketplaces, rollup brands) & newer geographies (SEA, MENA). Setup leaner processes to improve the agility of product development and new enterprise integrations. Cut costs through re-architecture, infra rightsizing and contract negotiations and AI adoption. Improved the system availability to 4 9s and halved the TCO while growing 20x in a period of 7yrs, processing 3MM new order items a day. Expanded TAM by entering into newer segments of the e-commerce value chain - both organically, by building new products and inorganically, through recent acquisitions.

Architected the next generation logistics platform, transportation management system (TMS), while working for Snapdeal. Built a team of 20 for creating the multi-tenant platform from scratch. The system processed upwards of 3L shipments every day with 40-60K last mile deliveries/day. The system had a microservice architecture with components like shipment management, fleet management, fleet telemetry (MQTT based), address service (edge tokenization), rider reputation management, planning and route optimization systems etc.. powered by an offline first pickup and delivery mobile app and a feature-rich operations web UI for inbound, on-floor and outbound operations. Besides the standard, the last mile included unique features like currency on delivery (for delivering currency notes post ‘demonetization’), wallet and card on delivery, quality check on customer doorstep, electronic proof of deliveries, product exchange, e-KYC at the doorstep for sim activations etc.
