Making a job hard to earn but worthy of earning is what I do for a living. I’ve spent the last decade navigating the process of growing global startups from an early stage to a scale-up phase. Somewhere on that road, I've had my fair share of luck, some glorious days, plenty of sleepless nights, few pitfalls, a lot of flights, discovered-lost-rediscovered my zen, a lot of coffee and some greys. Hence, they say a startup is not a job; it's a lifestyle choice :) There is no easy way to say this, so I’ll write it. I have met people or, in our words, the "candidates". Some were accidents, some I wasn't looking for, and some were a perfect storm of everything we wanted. Some were splendid in a way that made us smile, and a tiny segment required a great deal of maintenance :)
