About

Are you a business owner doing everything yourself? Working long hours on tasks that don't grow the business? There is a better way. You can build AI employees. They work 24/7. Cost less than 5% of a human employee. And won't leave and take your knowledge with them. My name is Gaj. I've spent 30 years in technology. After working as a Consultant at PwC, I joined a fintech startup. Scaled it to $214 million in market capitalization on the ASX. I know what it's like to grow a business with limited resources. Now I'm on a different mission. Every small business will have an AI Employee by 2027.

Frugl group limited

Chief Technology Officer

Jul 2017Jul 2018 · 1 yr · Perth, Australia

  • Frugl was an early stage start-up that allowed consumers to compare grocery prices between retailers in Australia.
  • Key initiatives at Frugl include:
  • Data Analytics: Won and delivered data analytics services to one of the largest retailers in Australia. This provided insight on how their product range and price architecture compared with their competition.
  • Web scraping was used to source product and pricing data. The data was transformed into actionable insights and presented in a dashboard.
  • Drove all phases including sales presentations, requirements analysis, solutions design and delivery of the product.
  • Agile Delivery: Implemented an agile methodology based on SCRUM and using tools such as Jira. Prior to joining the company, a waterfall methodology was used that caused significant delays in product delivery.
  • IT Strategy and Project Management: One of the other issues with product delivery was the local team had limited expertise in web development (e.g. Angular). The local market also had a shortage of resources with Angular skills.
  • The solution I implemented was to outsource front-end development to Ukraine.
  • I was involved in sourcing and interviewing the Ukrainian developers to ensure they had the required technical skills and the communication skills to work with the product team.
  • Coupled with implementing an agile methodology, this strategy significantly increased the velocity and quality of the deliverables.
