i make products feel less like software and more like something a person thought about… i’m most useful when the problem is fuzzy.¹ been doing this independently for a while now... usually that means research, prototyping, and writing code until the idea is clear enough to hand off... or ship myself.² i've done this for energy & defence infrastructure, healthtech & fintech startups, and a film studio in amsterdam.³ background in hci, manufacturing, and film. the combination is weird.⁴ it's also why clients come back. [currently taking limited freelance projects]⁵ --- ¹ when you know something isn't working but can't name why. i come in, figure it out, and make something that feels obvious in hindsight. ² some projects need a designer. some need a developer. occasionally they need both at friday release. ³ the amsterdam one involved mycelium. yes, mushrooms. took me away from screens, which is healthy. ⁴ helps me with design cost strategy, compliance workflows, management too. ⁵ if you have a problem that's been open for three months, that's probably the right fit... just say hi :)
