About

I have spent the past two decades working in the Education sector. Through various roles held over these years, I have had great exposure, at an international level, to the value and importance of education not only to our youth, but for people at all ages and stages of life. Over recent times, we have seen the Australian Government realise, and implement strategies to recognise that education is not restricted solely to textbooks and degree certificates; it also encapsulates life skills to enable people to succeed in all they undertake. No longer are these considered ‘soft skills’ … they are critical skills that impact people at all stages in life. Through this journey and evolution amongst the education industry, I have developed a deep passion for embracing our increasingly borderless world, and comprehend the incredible value of international engagement. I am equipped not only with experience and confidence in an international setting, but also a strong passion and awareness of supporting different cultures, business dynamics, and the potential of this increasingly borderless world. I have travelled extensively representing organisations offshore- including China, UAE, Thailand, Hong Kong, USA, Germany, Spain, Denmark, India, and South Africa. I have also done much independent travel beyond these places (even Antarctica)…building a network of contacts across the globe. It is with this true passion that I am able to embed this knowledge within my career, and contribute to international engagement plans and strategies in multiple settings. I myself am probably a little ‘non-traditional’, and frequently labelled as ‘the woman who thinks outside of the box and challenges the norm’. I will seek unique opportunities and initiatives, within required frameworks, that create win-win situations for organisations. I encourage people to dream further than their peers, and I encourage them to believe nothing is Impossible...even the word itself says I’m Possible!

  • As a form of professional development, I put together a unique proposal for the Executive Dean of the Faculty of the Professions, which outlined a program to spend 3months with a highly-ranked institution abroad who was demonstrating advanced marketing efforts in the tertiary education sector.
