About

Design teams everywhere are experimenting with AI, but few move beyond ad-hoc usage to systematic transformation. Making this leap requires new mental models, new skills, constant practice, and reimagined workflows. I work with leaders to design AI adoption programs that fit their context, organisation, and level of AI maturity. Here's what I've learned after working with dozens of design and product teams: AI adoption fails when we treat it like software training. You can't just send people to a course and expect transformation. Why? Because BCG & Deloitte Research shows 70% of AI challenges are people problems, not technology problems. I meet people where they are and design training and supportive systems that go beyond one-off courses to build maturity and sustainable change. I provide a human-centred approach to AI adoption - designed for designers, by a designer who's lived this journey. Through structured pathways and guided repetition, teams build AI capabilities responsibly without losing what makes them human. The Problem We Solve: When your team fears AI will replace them, they design defensive products. When users don't understand AI decisions, they abandon your features. This dual trust crisis kills adoption from both directions. But when teams experience their own transformation from fear to confidence, they inherently know how to design that journey for users. AI Flywheel : Human-Centred AI Adoption We apply HCD principles to AI transformation - Start with human needs & fears, not features - Build new mental models - because AI doesn't work the same way regular software does - Develop enduring skills that are foundational and more tool agnostic - Transform confusion into confidence through transparency - Build micro-habits that make AI adoption feel less awkward and more natural - Create community because no one should navigate this alone My Background: 20+ years in human-centred design. Masters in Interactive Multimedia. Certified in AI Ethics. But my real qualification? I've been where you are. I'm still learning. And I can light the path behind me. The Bottom Line: The future isn't about choosing between human and artificial intelligence. It's about ensuring human agency grows stronger as AI grows more powerful. We're all finding our way through this transformation together. Let's build something worth trusting. 📅 Book a Discovery Call

Human-Centred AI Adoption Leader

Jul 2024 – Present · 1 yr 10 mos · Sydney, New South Wales, Australia · Remote

  • I design AI adoption programmes that actually stick. Not one-day workshops. Not prompt courses. Structured systems that build real capability and lasting change.
  • Most AI training fails because it treats transformation like software rollout. Everyone gets the same content. Everyone's expected to adopt at the same pace. Six months later, nothing's changed.
  • I take a different approach:
  • → Assess where teams actually are (not where leadership thinks they are)
  • → Design adoption pathways matched to context, maturity, and risk appetite
  • → Build internal capability so organisations don't depend on me long-term
  • What this looks like in practice
  • Design bespoke AI Training programs ( e.g 2 flagship AI courses for the Australian Institute of Management )
  • Built and run Australia's first human-centred AI design programme (7 cohorts, 304+ designers in 2025)
  • Developed adoption frameworks based on 130 interviews with designers, researchers and leaders across the world... from Startups, In-house SMBs, Govt depts and large tech enterprises lile IBM, Microsoft, CSIRO, and Atlassian.
  • Trained 500+ people across public and private cohorts (inc AIM courses)
  • I work with leaders who are navigating the biggest change to work in 200 years and at a pace that is unsustainable - if not built in a way that enables micro-learning and adaptation.
