Magicpin

Brands Associate - Account Manager

Jul 2025Present · 10 mos · Gurugram · On-site

  • I had no expectations from my first job. Not because I was being negative about it but because you don’t know what to expect from your firsts. But it certainly sets up expectations for the next. I always wanted to travel for work. I always wanted to hop onto the next adventure. That’s what I started doing. I took up more work than I signed up for but it turned out to be the best thing.
  • Because I ended up doing things people with years of experience couldn’t. I got into rooms that had CEOs, CMOs, CBOs (basically decision makers) of companies we aspire to be in. Big retail brands. High value brands. I pitch them, I work with them. I handle them and they handle me.
  • I get to show off my creative sides in too many ways. I am changing something on the app, I am ideating and executing campaigns on the app and I am making fashion sale happen on the app (precautions are being taken)
  • I am being part of conferences and summits with people double my age holding drinks in their hand discussing business. Half the time I’m shitting my pants trying to figure out literally everything all at once and the rest half is too proud of where I’ve come.

Linkedin

Content Creator

Jul 2025Present · 10 mos

  • This was never part of the plan. For me linkedin was a platform where you had put up what new job you got, or which course you just completed. There were too less people to read but too many words to write.
  • So I started writing. Not because I wanted to be a creator or even knew that was a thing in linkedin, but because there was so much that had to be said. Until I realised there were more people who felt the same way. That encouraged me to write more and more to a point where I started getting dms of people wanting to hire me or of people who connected with my content.
  • Later on realised that people even earned through it. It was a whole foreign concept that I’m still trying to navigate. So I kept on writing until I got my very own first collab. The pay wasn’t even that bad. After that I was on fire. I got my 20k connections within 7 months. I realised that this was something that I genuinely wanted to do. Because people who I had never even met in my life already knew me because of my work and because of my words. People with big titles respected me for what I did. Brands reached out to me personally because they wanted me to write about them. That’s when I realised that I was onto something that this is not something I’m letting go that easily.

Tata 1mg

Consumer Products Intern

Jun 2025Jul 2025 · 1 mo · Gurugram · On-site

  • Completed my graduation but had no offer letter in my hand. I was stressed to say the least. MBA didn’t work out and job search was going bad. Until I finally heard back from a place I was trying for too long. The pay sucked.
  • I also applied to this internship at the same time. Now of course the pay for that job was more than this internship. Why would anyone go after an internship after their grad when they got full time founder’s office role elsewhere. But for some reason it felt off. The place I was trying for so long didn’t give me the satisfaction when I received the offer letter. Meanwhile I was getting excited over an internship that paid way too less to even survive in Gurgaon. A place completely foreign to me. But I took the risk, declined yet another job offer and took this internship.
  • I worked in the healthcare weight management department. I was helping build a certified course for Tata 1mg from scratch. From planning to execution.
  • This is where I rejected yet another job offer. I realised that while marketing is what I wanted to do, healthcare wasn’t the place for me to do it in. It didn’t excite me. It didn’t make me want to work out of my ways. I was sure of my domain but not of the industry.

Digital Marketing Intern

Feb 2025Apr 2025 · 2 mos · Gujarat, India · On-site

  • This is where I realised I was made for something creative, something that required me to think what others couldn’t. This is also where I was first introduced to linkedin. I made my first post ever. Not as a creator but as a person who just wanted to let people know that she was doing an internship.
  • I did market research, content strategy, content planning, presentations. I was taught every basic little thing that’s expected in a corporate for you to know anyway.
  • This is where I got my first job offer. And the first one that I turned down. Not because of the work or the company. But because I wasn’t too sure where I wanted to stay after my grad or what I even wanted to do. It just didn’t fit at the moment. Which I’m now grateful for because the best things of my career started to happen right after it.

Samdariya abhushan private limited

Finance Intern

Feb 2024Apr 2024 · 2 mos · Satna · On-site

  • I was home but not doing anything was out question. I joined as a finance intern in my home town. I learned how to do gold, diamond and silver billing.
  • It’s actually very different from other billings. There’s a very intricate process to it. I ended up learning a lot and even handled the day to day operations.
  • I never thought I would join it but I was home after semester end and this seemed like the only option at the time. I’m glad now though.

  • When you go for a visit to a prestigious college and there’s a guide available for you. That’s what I did. Only it was a horror movie for me. The one where I was up for the next kill. Not because of the place, people or my college. But because of the sun. I had to show the students around the campus , but the campus was so huge and I had to do multiple tours. From hostels to various different department visits. I realised I wasn’t cut out for field work.
  • I liked the part where I had to interact with people.
  • That’s where I met my closest friends who made the rest of my college survivable.
