About

Over 16 years of brand building and business leadership across CPG via personal care products and now food & drink which I hope to leverage in helping establish or grow the market for brands and create stakeholder viability while always being a vanguard of cultural leadership. I started my career in beauty and worked across the 3 major brands of the L'Oreal Group(Garnier, Maybelline New York and L'Oreal Paris) for over a decade across Asia, North America and Europe/UK with 2 major marketing stints at the global headquarters in Paris. After making many beauty dreams a reality with skincreams and haircreams, in the summer of 2015, I've taken my passion for indulgence up a notch with super-premium ice-cream-a much loved childhood icon that remains eternally popular globally...Haagen-Dazs, giving my career a new orientation in the world of foods with the American giant General Mills. As of 2016, I then added the 'better-for-you snacks' portfolio to my belt which namely includes Nature Valley, the world #1 snackbar and have doubled the UK business under my leadership together with my team. End of 2018, I transitioned to be a founding member of the General Mills New Ventures incubation team for Europe-Australasia setting up our Natural & Organic Business Unit for as well as our European Venture Capital arm which seeks to offer organisational capabilities via direct equity mandates in emerging scale disruptive startups. 2008: 1st expat from India to L'Oreal global marketing team(Paris) 2010: Featured in Harvard Business Review as a global managerial success story in the article 'L'Oreal Masters Multi-Culturalism'. Garnier Men launch cited as a Harvard Business Review case study for glocal innovation. 2012-2014: Speaker at London Business School, Oxford University and IMD Lausanne. 2017: Judging panel of the The Drum Awards for the Digital Industry(DADIs) and The Marketing New Thinking Awards by Campaign. 2018: Speaker at Marketing Week Festival of Marketing, SportsPro Leaders Conference, Campaign Future Fit and Media Week UK. 2019: Speaker at AdWeek Europe(London), FMCG Masters Summit(Montreux). Roundtable panelist at the Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity. 2020: Speaker at Social Media Week and The Drum Digital Transformation Festival. Jury member of Global Effies 2020. Global Chair of Judges at The Drum Awards for Content 2020. 2021: Speaker at Global Festival of Media and Economic Times Brand Equity Summit. Jury Member of Campaign Experience Awards. Chair of Judges at Alliance of Independent Agency Awards.
