I am part of the People team at BitMEX; the world’s leading cryptocurrency derivatives trading platform which has pioneered cryptocurrency trading through relentless commitment to change, and continues to set benchmarks for innovation, liquidity, and security. With recruitment experience across a variety of agencies, fintech, and now crypto, I look after the end-to-end recruitment journey, covering different business areas from tech to non-tech positions in APAC, North America, and Europe. Working in-house I get to expand my exposure into employer branding and candidate experience, how to apply different strategies to capture both passive and active candidates in order to maximum the true scope of available talent. Recruitment wasn’t my childhood dream profession, nor one I even knew it existed until 11 years ago. I started my career in marketing back in 2006, while I was still in school. After I stumbled across recruitment, I knew there was no turning back. This position allows me to work with people from all walks of life and to learn about the unique story each brings. Also it is rewarding because I can help people to realise their potential and set them on their way to achieve great things. Outside of work, I devote time to volunteering. I am part of the Terry Fox Run Hong Kong organizing committee, where we organize the annual event to raise money for local cancer research. As a Simon Fraser University Alumni Ambassador, I lead networking events to bring people closer and engage with the communities. Recently, I’ve started supporting Inspiringirls by mentoring young girls on their career choices, options in life, motivating them to aim higher. Additionally, I am a trained car seat technician to educates parents and caregivers on child passenger safety. Overall, I am passionate about people and how I can give back to the community.
