About

I am a comms, engagement, strategy and operations leader with 24 years of full-time experience in Corporate Communications, Positioning, Associate Advocacy, Talent Marketing, Employer Branding, and Storytelling with a specialization in technology, solutions, and global capability centers. My experience includes building high performance teams, strategic communications counsel, and leading large-scale transformation and change programs. An avid business communicator and a social media maven passionate about digital technologies and AI, I bring a rare mix of four unique elements - deep business acumen; innovative & tech-savvy communicator; passionate storyteller and finally, a people leader who develops, and inspires teams to deliver exceptionally well. During my 7+ years of experience as a director of communications at Novartis, I have had the privilege and opportunity to do a variety of global roles - communications and positioning lead for Global Capability Center Hyderabad, KL, Business Services Strat and Ops, and Business Services Asia; communications lead for the disruptive internal startup accelerator called NBSX; global head of communications for data and digital priority, and more recently, a hybrid role supporting enterprise Leadership Engagement as a communicator while leading a practice of 10+ communicators spread across four Novartis NOCCs (Dublin, Hyderabad, Prague, and Ljubljana, Prague) who serve Business Units, strategic programs and Business Initiatives for specific internal communications needs. Prior to Novartis, I was the external and internal comms head for Wells Fargo Enterprise Global Services - India entities which has presence across Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Chennai. After my Masters in English literature and PG diploma in Journalism from IIMC, I began my career as a journalist with the Hindustan Times and went on to work with Deccan Chronicle and the Times of India. Between 2004 and 2013, I was arguably the most-awarded professional in Deloitte and managed to retain the same tag at Genpact, which I joined in 2007 to lead communication for its IT functions. I joined back Deloitte in 2010. I was also the recipient of the All Star Gold Medal - highest individual award - at Deloitte for FY12. In my life outside work, I love to facilitate external learning and motivational programs and am an endurance athlete. I use social media for talent marketing and have been writing a blog since 2004. I am an endurance athlete and love to participate in long-distance running, cycling and triathlon events.
