From a very young age, I was at our family's business units — observing how money moves, how people are managed, how real businesses operate. That upbringing gave me something most people in the startup ecosystem don't have: a ground-level understanding of how businesses make money, long before I ever opened a pitch deck. I started my first venture as a teenager — a social media agency that generated revenue but couldn't scale. That failure taught me more about the gap between building revenue and building a real business than anything that came after. It's also why I never sell founders a dream. I've been on the wrong side of one. I'm part of Marwar Mentors — anchored by our Single Family Office (Marwar Family Office LLP) — spanning a publishing house, a skilling-focused edtech venture, and a startup incubator. Everything we build revolves around one belief: long-term value beats short-term hype. But clarity, governance, positioning, and narrative are what make companies endure. I've mentored 50+ founders individually — staying with them from their first idea to their Series A, B, or C. Working on what actually determines whether a startup survives: business model, unit economics, investor narrative, and whether the idea solves a real problem — saving the consumer's money, their time, or improving their productivity.
