• Invented the concept of an "online advisory board" for nonprofits to crowdsource money and advice from their supporters online, creating a profitable venture in under 4 months.
• Developed an algorithm to identify "potential supporters" for a nonprofits using their public linkedin information, resulting in cold-email click thru rates of 70% (compared to industry average of 5%) and donor conversion rates of 14% (compared to industry average of under 1%)
• Increased the number of "monthly recurring donors" by over 10X at nonprofits by building personalized online communities for a variety of nonprofit organizations
• Created a modular website editor for our partners to update their community invitation page using React Components.

• Assembled was a viral professional network for the top college engineering students in the United States, built entirely on referrals by asking each member "Who's the most impressive engineering student at your college?"
• Led the development of the desktop and mobile versions of the website which had over 4,000 world class engineering students and functionality including real time chat, profiles, messaging and job applications
• Developed a thriving community with job advice, Q&A sessions from industry professionals like Ashton Kutcher, and one-click job applications from top companies like Pandora, Salesforce, Nextdoor and other top technology companies
• Using Capybara & Selenium, built a 1-click job application software that allowed members on the network to easily apply to jobs on multiple platforms including Taleo, CareerBuilder, Greenhouse, ICIMS, Jobvite, Indeed & LinkedIn

• Circle was a "Local Social Network" mobile app that connected people to others near their current location. It grew to over 12 million members and became the #1 app in both the Apple App store and #1 app in the Google Play store.
• Fully led the development of the award winning iOS app (Objective-C & Swift) that reached #1 on the App Store charts among all apps and had an average rating of 4.5/5 stars.
• Fully led the development of the Android app (Java & Scala) that reached the #1 app in the Google Play Store (at one point it was #1 in over a dozen countries) and had an average user rating of 4.7/5 stars
• Scaled the backend (Rails, C++, MongoDB, Redis & Memcached, and hosted on AWS) to support 12m+ users, with 1m+ daily actives at the peak of usage.
• Grew the engineering team to 15 developers split across multiple teams (iOS, Android, Infrastructure)

• CTO and Co-Founder of the Y-Combinator and Andreessen-Horowitz backed startup LAL.com (formerly Likealittle).
• Launched at over 200 university campuses and grew from 0 to 20 million unique visits in six weeks
• Raised $7 million from Y-Combinator, Andreessen-Horowitz, Ashton Kutcher and many other of the world's top investors
• Built an iOS app from scratch after self-teaching myself Objective-C & iOS development in a weekend when a mobile app was urgently needed
• Grew the engineering team to 8 developers and led them to develop the Android app

• Worked on the Bing Search Relevance Team. Shipped new features that led to significant gains in the relevance score. Was awarded the Gold Star award for contributions above and beyond the scope of my role.

• Built a cross-language clusterer algorithm, to club together news articles from different languages pertaining to the same news entity. The feature was later shipped as Google Multi-Lingual news, which allowed Indian users to read news in Hindi from the English News page. It was also deployed for Canadian users to switch from French - English.
