About

Over 17+ years, I’ve come to realize that my greatest satisfaction lies in building organizations that grow stronger with time; teams that feel empowered to experiment, structures that bring order to chaos, and cultures that can innovate without fear. My career has taken me from food delivery to mobility, wellness, and manufacturing, but the common thread has been creating the conditions for growth: scaling businesses from 0→1 and 1→10, owning P&L, and guiding sales, operations, and expansion with a steady, long-term lens. I look at every challenge through a first principles lens, stripping away assumptions, approaching problems with fresh eyes, and rethinking systems from the ground up. This mindset has helped me innovate, simplify, and arrive at stronger, more scalable solutions. I treat every initiative as an experiment: free from sunk costs, open to failure, and focused on learning. Whether doubling revenues, expanding into new geographies, or building 200+ member organizations, the real joy has come not from hitting milestones but from watching experiments become systems and people grow into leaders. What motivates me most is solving the “uncool but critical” problems, professionalizing fragmented industries, strengthening supply chains, and rebuilding consumer trust in categories once overlooked. For me, success is when a business unlocks its next stage of growth and emerges stronger, more resilient, and better prepared for the future.

Zepto

CEO - Meat Business

Dec 2024Dec 2025 · 1 yr · Bengaluru, Karnataka, India · On-site

  • Zepto’s Meat vertical was stagnant — with flat revenues, fragile supply chains, and low consumer trust — I was brought in to prove it could be built into a sustainable, scaled, and profitable business within quick commerce.
  • What we achieved:
  • Reignited Growth: Took the business from stagnation to becoming one of Zepto’s fastest-growing verticals, expanding its presence across cities and stores.
  • Fixed the Fundamentals: Cut expiry rates dramatically, strengthened cold chain and supply chain reliability, and set new benchmarks for product quality and availability.
  • Built Leadership & Teams: Assembled and aligned a cross-functional team across multiple cities, creating clarity, accountability, and conviction in the category.
  • Rebuilt Consumer & Brand Trust: Elevated catalogue and consumer experience, launched new products and campaigns, and reshaped brand partnerships to unlock monetization and share risk.
  • Outcome: Within a year, transformed Meat from a struggling side category into a sustainable, consumer-loved business — establishing it as a credible growth engine inside Zepto.

Spinny

Vice President - Vehicle Science

Feb 2021Dec 2024 · 3 yrs 10 mos · Gurugram, Haryana, India · On-site

  • Spinny was preparing to scale from a fast-growing startup into a national leader in pre-owned cars, but growth was constrained by bottlenecks in inspections, refurbishment, and consumer trust. I was brought in to build the Vehicle Science division — the technical backbone that would remove these constraints and enable scale.
  • What we achieved:
  • Scaled Operations for Growth: Built inspection and refurbishment capacity at scale, industrializing fragmented processes into streamlined, in-house capabilities.
  • Redefined Quality & Trust: Introduced science-backed diagnostics and reporting, professionalizing inspections and refurbishment to set new standards of reliability.
  • Built Technical Leadership & Teams: Created a 1,500+ member technical org with structured hiring and training pipelines, embedding conviction in science-based approaches.
  • Strengthened Consumer Confidence: Elevated transparency and trust in Spinny cars, turning quality into a competitive advantage and reinforcing the brand’s promise.
  • Outcome: Forged the systems, talent, and consumer trust that became the backbone of Spinny’s nationwide scale-up.

Zomato

Associate Vice President

Jun 2015Dec 2016 · 1 yr 6 mos · Greater Delhi Area · On-site

  • Zomato was pivoting from restaurant discovery to food ordering — a bold bet in a market where consumer trust was low and competition fierce. I joined the core team tasked with making that bet succeed.
  • What we achieved:
  • Ignited Hypergrowth: Scaled daily orders rapidly by expanding supply across thousands of restaurants, including marquee brands.
  • Built Operational Backbone: Established large sales and support orgs to professionalize merchant and customer experience.
  • Elevated Consumer Trust: Improved acceptance, retention, and ratings through better processes and product experience.

  • Outcome: Turned Zomato into a credible challenger in food ordering, delivering one of its fastest growth phases.

Accenture strategy

Consultant

Jun 2011Apr 2015 · 3 yrs 10 mos · Greater Delhi Area · On-site

  • Joined right out of IIM Bangalore, working with CXOs across telecom, automotive, FMCG, and commercial vehicles. These years gave me my first exposure to large-scale strategy and transformation, and taught me how to break down complexity, build conviction in senior rooms, and deliver outcomes.
  • What we achieved:
  • Telecom: Redesigned Micromax's service and supply strategy, strengthening efficiency and reducing turnaround times.
  • Automotive: Optimized in-plant logistics for Maruti Suzuki, unlocking significant cost savings and productivity.
  • FMCG: Built a market entry and channel expansion strategy for Havmor Ice Creams by identifying high-potential regions (Delhi NCR, Karnataka) and defining the GT, MT, push-cart, and own store mix, as well as branded vs multi-brand models. Helped position Havmor for rapid topline growth ahead of its eventual acquisition by Lotte.
  • Commercial Vehicles: Supported sales and service transformation for Tata Motors during a period of aggressive competition from Ashok Leyland and new entrants. Helped defend share in South India (Kerala & Andhra Pradesh) and introduced the AMC model to strengthen post-sales retention with fleet owners.
  • Outcome: Learned the craft of structured problem-solving and the art of earning trust in CXO forums — foundations that shaped my leadership journey.
