Kapil Yadav — Founder
I didn’t build discipline in a perfect environment. I built it in chaos. Back in 2002, like most people, fitness was just something I did on the side. A bit of home workouts, nothing serious. Then came hotel management at IHM Chandigarh (2003–2006), where I first stepped into a gym, not because I had time, but because I DECIDED to make time. That decision would define everything that followed. From 2006 to 2008, I worked 15-hour shifts. SLEEP was a luxury. Most people in that phase give up on themselves, I didn’t. I remember waiting an hour after work at 4 AM, just for the gym to open, working-out on barely any rest. It wasn’t about aesthetics back then. It was about PROVING to myself that I don’t quit when LIFE gets hard. And life did get hard. There were phases where CONSISTENCY broke. PRIORITIES shifted. RESPONSIBILITIES increased. Like many professionals, especially after 30, I experienced what most men don’t talk about- SLOW neglect of self. Not sudden failure. Just gradual compromise. And that’s exactly where the REAL lesson came from: 👉 Fitness isn’t about motivation. It’s about identity. 👉 Discipline isn’t built when life is easy. It’s built when life is heavy. Today, I’m not just someone who stayed in shape. I’m someone who REBUILT himself multiple times. That’s why I started my Instagram handle @ky_riseabove. This is NOT for 20-year-olds chasing 6-packs. This is for professionals above 35; People with careers, families, stress, and limited time. People who know they’ve let themselves slip, and want to take CONTROL again. I understand your reality because I’ve LIVED it: • Long work hours • Low energy • Inconsistent routines • Starting over (again and again) Through my content, I simplify fitness for REAL LIFE not ideal life. At the same time, I’m building Ben Bernet, a brand that reflects the same philosophy: discipline, identity, and quiet confidence. Not loud fashion. Not trends. Just presence. Because how you show up - physically and visually - is a reflection of who you’ve decided to become. If you’re someone who refuses to settle for decline just because of age or responsibility, we’ll get along well. Let’s RISE ABOVE.
