About

I design critically important pixie dust to make an organization hum! What does it mean? I work on the culture and people because that’s important for the success of any organization. Too often, organizations make the mistake of treating employees as numbers in a spreadsheet or records in a database. For an organization, there is no bigger obstacle in the path to success than this. I make sure that does not happen by cultivating productive and happy environments that put the ‘human’ back in human resources. To win the marketplace, you must first win the workplace. For me, HR is not just a business function, it’s a mindset. Something that needs to be internalized by each and every person in the company. We are the gatekeepers of an organization’s culture and values and set the tone on humane workplace behaviour and practices. In short, we make the organization tick. I believe in ABC (Always Be Cultivating) philosophy by thinking of recruitment as a sales process. If you want A-players on your team, your company must spend as much time and effort attracting and retaining employees as it does on finding and keeping customers. Which is why I like to hire for attitude and not just aptitude. I conduct regular feedback sessions and employee check-ins to gauge the pulse of the organization. This is crucial as you get to know about any simmering discontent and can nip it in the bud before it snowballs into an HR crisis. Churn is inevitable and is a part and parcel of the company lifecycle. I’m proactive and like to be ready for when the chips are down. I obsessively keep track of the manpower needs of the company and try to predict and address any skills gaps. I also like to keep myself updated about the latest HR trends and take a keen interest in learning about what works and doesn’t in the modern workplace. Are our employees developing? What makes them happy? How do we create/ maintain the company’s brand and culture? I like to relentlessly pursue the answers to these questions by coming up with fun & meaningful ideas, understanding what drives each person and designing appropriate HR mechanisms. A happy employee is a motivated employee. And thereby drive better business outcomes for all. Above all, I like to take ownership, treat the organization as my own baby and get down in the trenches to do all the dirty work. Nothing gives me more satisfaction than seeing the fruits of my labour translate into cheerful ‘Good morning, Aishwariya!’ wishes from my colleagues. So if this makes sense and you think we are on the same page, then why wait? Let's talk!
