About

I stopped calling myself a traditional UX researcher because my work sits closer to the customer than most teams reach. Hi, I'm Hali (pronounced Holly). I am a survey and interview nerd, Voice of Customer specialist, and cultural researcher with a PhD in Human Environmental Science. My background started in academia, where I studied adaptive apparel, identity, and how people interact with products in real contexts. That work shaped how I see research in industry today. I focus on what people actually say, how they say it, what they do, and what they mean underneath. I create and program surveys, run interviews, analyze language, and turn raw feedback into clear direction for organizations. I use and enjoy AI tools to move faster, spot patterns, and push insights further. I focus on how human insight and AI can work together in practical ways. My goal is simple: Make sure the customer voice shows up in real decisions, not just research reports. I also bring a sense of humor into my work. Research does NOT have to feel heavy to be meaningful. I help organizations move past surface-level insights and focus on what drives behavior, trust, and adoption. My background in apparel, culture, strategy, and futurism gives me a unique lens on identity, emotion, and context. That perspective helps organizations build products, experiences, and services people connect with. If you care about building products, experiences, and services people actually want, while also improving strategy and systems, shoot me a DM because I bet we will get along! Outside of work, I enjoy discovering new perfumes, exploring the newest exhibits at museums, hiking, and sharing great restaurant recommendations in the Salt Lake City area and beyond!
