About

I am a motivational speaker and author and in my last role in the corporate world, I was the CEO of Kimberly Clark Lever. I am also a certified leadership coach – and an uncertified cricket junkie. I spent three decades in the corporate world selling everything from soaps and colas to yellow pages and diapers. I had the privilege of working alongside some fantastic colleagues – subordinates and peers, salesmen and shop floor engineers, bosses and boards. And from them all I learnt powerful lessons on leadership, teamwork, and the habit of winning. And what I do now is draw on my experience and share lessons and stories on what it takes for each of us to become as good as we can be. I am fascinated by the little things in the world around us and delight in uncovering the lessons they might convey. It could be leadership lessons from a tea bag or life lessons from a shoe lace. Or a random conversation with a driver or the man behind me in a queue. I write about it. And speak about it too. I speak (a lot!), I run training programs and workshops, coach leaders and am working on my fifth book. Which means I spend more time in hotels and airplanes than in my home in Pune. Happiness for me is when sometimes at an airport, someone walks up and says she - or he - has read my book, or heard me speak and it’s made a difference in their life. Makes me feel good. Especially if my wife is around. (She in any case thinks I‘ve stage-managed the whole interaction!) As you can imagine, I get my highs out of making a small difference in the lives of the people I interact with and helping people unleash the leader within them. So if you are looking for someone to charge up the team at your upcoming offsite, or for someone to work with your leaders and help them get better, or even for an external facilitator to make your next leadership team meeting incredibly more productive, do get in touch.
