About

I’m a mission-driven leader helping institutions lead with clarity, courage, and compassion, especially in moments of disruption. As Provost at Lipscomb University, I guide strategic initiatives that integrate generative AI, curricular redesign, and hospitality-based faculty development. Whether we’re reimagining general education or designing AI policy, I believe leadership must begin with identity and formation, not fear. My leadership approach is rooted in hospitality, systems thinking, and a deep trust in faculty. I’ve helped teams move from competition to collaboration, and from reaction to reflection, building systems where people can flourish through change. I write regularly on Substack about designing transformative leadership systems in the age of AI, and I enjoy collaborating with fellow leaders across Christian higher ed, liberal arts institutions, and other values-based institutions. Areas of focus: AI strategy & policy in higher education General education redesign Faculty development & mentoring Values-based mission in a time of transformation Hospitality-centered leadership Let’s connect if you’re leading through change and looking to anchor your institution’s next chapter in courage, clarity, and care.
