About

I like to be held accountable. You should too. That means we’re going to chat. Regularly. About targets, and how we get there, and what needs to change, and how we get better. And if the day ever comes when everything is in sync, the question becomes "can we duplicate this?" I get things done, the important things, and along the way I help make our Team (Caps) inclusive and strong and ready for the next challenge – to meet it and beat it. If history predicts the future, look at my accomplishments. In most cases my numbers are above average. In others, my accomplishments are outstanding and top tier. But what they all have in common is… I had zero experience when I began each tenure and still produced, sometimes exceptionally well. I am able to quickly grasp new concepts and technology, then I transfer that enthusiasm and knowledge to other people in a way that makes them act. Other words used to describe me include, smart, funny, well rounded, professional, and more. Once in a while humble and modest, but this isn’t that time; I mean c'mon, it’s LinkedIn. Most business is about relationships and I attribute all my success, like below, on a simple formula… Act in ways that build trust, be genuine and be genuinely interested in people and do good things. If you do that, business will follow. That's what happens to me, every time. I wish I had some wild and crazy sales strategy, but I don’t, “be interested instead of interesting” opens a lot of doors. I have led training seminars and done presentations 1 on 1 and to large groups, connecting the dots on technical and product details in a way that people ‘get it’ and act. As a hunter I am relentless; as a farmer I am attentive and thorough. In summary I find, develop, maintain and grow the business. I create enduring revenue streams.

I Talk With People

Oct 2025Present · 6 mos · Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada · Remote

  • What I do…
  • I spend my days dialing out.
  • From my very funky and cool home office in the heart of historic Gastown in downtown Vangroovy.
  • But…
  • I am not here to do business; I am here to learn and there are some really smart people who will tell you everything they know.
  • It’s not work if you like what you do, and I love what I do!
  • We’re #1 in our space – there is no one better than us.
  • One of the best parts of my day is when I get to tell people about all the different things we do that set us apart.
  • But I never give away all our secrets – that’s for my outstanding co-workers!
  • I just call, tell people why they should chat with us, then I set up a meeting with someone who can connect all the dots.
  • I can only connect some of the dots.
  • I’m surrounded by an outstanding team, all driven by the same mission, and that makes my job easy
  • That’s it. That’s all I do. All day long. Everyday. And I’m really good at it too.

Sales Coordinator

Nov 2023Oct 2024 · 11 mos · Remote

  • Sales Coordinator is a title, what I do….
  • I am frontline, like, I am the first person people typically talk with when they call any office in Canada. And I am a master of telephone engagement.
  • People call in, and we chat, and I figure out who they need to talk with. Along the way I grab their contact details and then introduce them to the Account Manager. Right there! Right then!
  • Over the phone, a 3 way call with me, the prospect, and the Account Manager, who can connect all the dots. It’s a really cool way to do business and is a pleasant surprise for our clients.
  • Sometimes the Account Manager is not available, so I’ll book a Teams meeting, right there, and then, and the 3 of us chat a little later
  • I facilitate and lead these conversations and let the client know what to expect, support the Account Manager and transition the client into the Account Manager’s hands..
  • It’s a positive and engaging experience for the client because I am a master of this environment.
  • Sometimes things can get a little crazy…
  • I recently took a call from someone who had applied for a job and wanted to speak to someone about the application.
  • I can’t do that from my desk, but I know how they can communicate with HR. Was I able to convey that in a way that made sense? Nope.
  • The call ended with me on the receiving of a hearty and sincere “Frack You!” Okay, it was a different F bomb.
  • Here is what I did… I immediately called our Director of HR and explained what happened and asked could he please call this person asap.
  • Here’s why… For whatever reason I wasn’t able to properly communicate best next steps to this person who is stressed out and looking for a job, plus maybe other things I don’t know about.
  • This is the time to be compassionate and kind, so let me elevate this to Director level and get things straight.
  • When I am not answering the phone, wearing my Director of First Impressions hat, I am dialing out, making friends. You could be next!

Business Development Manager, BC South Coast

May 2023Nov 2023 · 6 mos · Remote

  • If we're talking, you know what I do.
  • If you need our services & products and you don't call us, that's on you.
  • Why not promote the great company I work for and generate business here? I am not on LinkedIn to do business.
  • I am here to learn and there are some really smart people here. And they freely give their knowledge. That's mostly why I am here.
  • What I do... I seek out and engage stakeholders in Vancouver's largest companies - CEO's, President's, Directors, and other executive leaders.
  • I earn their trust to earn their business.
  • I am the guy who picks up the phones and calls out. I am the guy who knocks on your door, with out an appointment, looking to work with you.
  • Most of the time it works out for both of us. There are some people who think I am jerk / loser / more worse things - not going to lie. That's how it goes sometimes.
  • But the people who love me, really love me!
