About

9 years of hustling has led me to understand First principles from the fundamentals. I firmly believe that you can always go one step beyond in understanding the problem. Skilling is a problem that goes way beyond learning. Our survival depends on how well the human race can learn and adapt. In a world where time comes with a premium, static learning is a huge backlog for the human race, with a lot of time getting wasted. Examarly, as a product is built around the philosophy that - Learning, if personalised, can save a lot of time. Being a self-learner all my life, I have a stronghold on the concepts of the problem and the market. At Examarly, we are building a decentralised ecosystem of learning, where content is sourced from the community itself and provides upward mobility to learners. Hence, content & knowledge become decentralised, within the community. Education comes full circle. At Examarly, we are making this come true. Utopia is to upskill and make learning possible even at the remotest corners of the world for free.

  • Soon after Sunfib Capital we were Aquihired by a Hong Kong Based Cryptocurrency Startup Q&H Capital, Our place of work was New Delhi and we were serving Indian HNI's helping them invest in the cryptocurrency market.
  • In 2 months we had hit 1cr AUM but soon RBI came up with guidelines declaring cryptocurrencies as illegal tenders which led us to close the company.
  • Sunfib Capital was restarted after this but my interest had waned by this time and i wanted to explore retail trading & american equities so didn't join it again.

  • My love for businesses made me explore the financial markets.
  • So after about 2 months of study i joined Share India as an Arbitrager, this was a great experience as it helped me look right inside the brokerage industry and how brokers & the capital markets function.

  • Joined College for 6 Months after Ni8, College was really boring so dropped out within 6 months to pursue e-commerce with amazon which seemed like a great opportunity.
  • This led to the setting up of RHO Enterprises (Loved Physics ;) always wanted to keep afloat.
  • Mobiles was the product of choice (Which was a very bad decision considering the players & capital involved)
  • Stayed afloat for sometime as i also started selling locally branded electronics in my home town and via ebay.
  • Also tried to launch a clothing brand (fast fashion based ) which never took off as demonetisation happened and there was a significant shock to the supply chain.
  • To make a place for myself in the marketplace i had to have good seller ratings which was not possible to achieve quickly with mobile phones as i was operating on limited quantity. For this what i did was picked up the best selling book in India (HC Verma, Physics again ;) and sold it at half the price, and included a rate us flyer inside every book, with led to very good seller ratings on the marketplace which in turn led to a 5x growth in my product sales.
  • The operations involved were really complex and as i couldn't maintain inventory, communication with my customers & product delivery was taking alot of time Amazon blocked me.

  • A brief stint with Food Delivery before college started.
  • Me & Friends got together to solve the problem of availability of food at night in my home town Prayagraj.
  • Ran it for around 6 months, niched down on a single college that we started serving, made the packaging really creative so that we can generate Word of mouth.
  • Made a good amount of money and served many customers. We had never thought about running it at scale so initially closed it down.
  • Learnings :
  • Customer Experience helps generate WOM
  • The brand name is very important, as their was no association with the name we chose and what we did.

  • Had an MAU of around 16000 at that time, Had to close it down because was relying on ads as the sole revenue stream which was not working out.
