Unofficially, I believe my career really started in my father's small time business as I did all kind of odd jobs to stay busy during my vacations. After completing my post graduation diploma in management, my professional career started off with being a Management Trainee in a company that builds Fire protection systems. The enthusiasm of a first job allowed me to learn something about everything and connect the dots between different functions of running a business. After 3 years, I was lucky to move to the e-commerce industry just when the market was warming up in India. In 9 years at Amazon, I got to be a part of many exciting things across the world, met some extraordinary people, went places and learned many life lessons. After having done stints across Program, Product, Analytics and Building Tools, I consider myself a Generalist. Like to solve business and customer problems and give them what they need rather than what they want. I like being pragmatic to address tactical goals and a dreamer for strategic ones. I always look for ways to do more with less. I believe in striking a balance between knowing the details and having the thousand foot view. And I'm very passionate about my role in developing and growing the people in my team.
