Impactful experiences in business facets including procurement, processing, SCM, risk, trading, distribution and marketing, grants me diverse and detailed execution and analytical competencies. In my last role, I was an active member of the 8-man EXCO Leadership team. My ability to understand and plan business efforts in diverse geographies through rich, differentiated and high-quality experiential approaches, along with quality interactions with senior policy makers at the country level to construct favorable investor friendly policies for the industry, brings a variety of my skills to play. This led me to be invited to keynote the Africa Agribusiness session at the Harvard Business School and be a visiting faculty at the Business School at the Univ of CT for over 9 years. 28 years with Olam International across Africa/ Europe, followed by 3 years with the TGI Group gave me ample opportunity to learn and demonstrate cutting edge leadership practices in the Agro and Food processing sector. In 2014, a friend and colleague from Olam, Ranveer Chauhan and I wrote a book called Amazing Africa- A Corporate Journey. This brought to life our combined experience of about 45 years in setting up, investing and managing the affairs of Africa’s largest agri-business..
