Mike Carlin — CEO
I lead Stryker’s newest division, Ortho Tech —a global organization of 3,200+ employees responsible for the Mako and Enabling Technologies (MET) business unit, the Orthopaedic Instruments (OI) business unit, the Global Innovation Center (Stryker’s Global Technology Center in India and the research and development lab in Australia), and the AI Accelerator. Together, we focus on advancing innovation, accelerating growth, and delivering meaningful impact for customers and patients worldwide. I began my career at Stryker in 2002 and have held leadership roles across Marketing, Sales, and general management within commercial-facing businesses. Along the way, I’ve built and scaled enterprise capabilities, including standing up Customer Solutions, a centralized organization that partners with our customers on strategic capital acquisition models and contracts. Most recently, I led the Digital, Robotics, and Enabling Technologies (DRE) organization, a centralized global research and development, digital, and AI team dedicated to advancing procedural technologies and shaping the future of innovation. I am deeply passionate about building differentiated customer experiences through world-class innovation—bringing together people, technology, and strategy to make healthcare better. I hold a bachelor’s degree from the University of Notre Dame and have completed several executive education programs.
